Ahead of the #EndBadGovernance# Nationwide protest, the Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo State on Emergency Response, Hon. Oriade Adebawo has met with relevant emergency services agencies in Ondo State in order to ensure the protection of lives and properties of both the government and citizens ahead of the proposed nationwide protest in Ondo State.
in his quest to ensure that the safety of the populace is not compromised, Hon. Oriade visited the Fire Service staff at Alagbaka to charge the officials on proactive safety measures, emergency response preparedness and while also inspecting their operational tools and availability of manpower for quick deployment to strategic locations across the state and particularly Akure the state capital ahead of the nationwide protest.
While at the State Fire Service Department, the Governor’s Aide emphasized on the need to remain focused and determined regarding the sacred duty of putting in place modalities that will guarantee the protection of lives and properties of the people of the Sunshine State. He further explained that the Government of Ondo State under the able leadership of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa places premium value on that particular aspect of governance and is always willing to do everything within it’s power to maintain that status quo.
He also expressed the willingness of the Government of Ondo State in making available all resources at it’s disposal to ensure people’s lives remain safe.
The Director of the Ondo State Fire Service, Mr Folorunsho expressed the readiness of his team to work individually and collectively to ensure they deliver as expected and play their vital role in the safety of lives and property of people during and beyond the nationwide protest.
Mr Folorunsho however, revealed that there are some constraints bedeviling the Fire Service ranging from fueling challenges, vehicle maintenance and many others. He also pleaded with the Government to provide an enabling environment for proper and effective management of the State Fire Service, he however assured the Special Assistant on Emergency Response to the Governor of the readiness of his team to perform at full capacity ahead of the nationwide protest.
At ODSEMA, Hon. Oriade reiterated on the need for the workers to be prepared and available at strategic areas across the Ondo State to ensure that all emergency protocols are adhered to across the state especially during the protest.
Prince Oriade Adebawo expressed the readiness of his office to network with other stakeholders seamlessly and with professional synergy in order to ensure that all Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the state are in tandem with the safety architecture of Ondo State regarding the effective and prompt attention to emergency issues across the state.
