The Arewa Youth Assembly made the appeal at a News conference in Abuja on Sunday calling for necessary investigation into the controversy between NNPCL, NUPRC, Aluko Dangote and other Regulatory bodies in the oil sector.

Mohammed Danlami, the Speaker of the Arewa Youth Assembly urged the Dangote group to comply with the directives of the regulatory bodies and government regulations, rather than trying to manipulate them for personal gain.
He emphasized that these bodies have been established to carry out their duties and ensure compliance with rules and regulations stressing that no individual should force the regulatory bodies to bend protocols to serve personal interests, which they described as selfish.
Danlami noted that this goes against world best practices and the principle of willing buyer-willing seller relationships.

The group also called on the National Assembly to make public the laboratory results from Dangote’s refinery, alleging that the products are substandard.

The group however emphasized that the Nigerian government is committed to excellence and will not tolerate any attempts to undermine regulatory bodies or manipulate rules for personal gain.
