The attention of National Association of Nigeria students has been drawn to a Newspaper Publication credited to one Chuks Okafor using the office-of The Senate President of National Association of Nigeria Students NANS as an alibi, allegedly distributed by one Mr Uche Nwosu to local tabloids in Imo State.

Speaking on behalf of the association, the Joint Association of campus students, Comr. Joy Gerrard said ” Though it is not in our character to respond to such level of inanity and frivolity, but to put the record straight and clear the misconception it has brought to the unsuspecting public, we wish to state as follows:

They further started That, the National Association of Nigeria Students NANS has no intention whatsoever to carry out any protest pertaining to the arrest of Uche Nwosu.

That NANS dissociate herself from the content and intent of that publication which only exist In the imagination of the purported writer.

That NANS believe from all available evidences that Uche Nwosu was not abducted but was arrested in line with tne operations of the Nigeria Police Force. That Uche Nwosu should dissociate himself from trying to coarse the association into his personal ordeal rather he should avail himself of the
routes made available by the law to seek redress if he feels his personal human rights has been abused.

That the National Association of Nigeria Students does not have any grouse with the present government of Senator Hope Uzodimma.
