A Muslim woman, Aisha Lawal has revealed that her friend, a Shuwa-Arab Nigerian woman told her that she would leave her husband if he becomes poor.

Shuwa-Arab women in Northern Nigeria are extremely beautiful. Even Northerners know love alone won’t keep them in your house cos their wedding is expensive and they are also very expensive to maintain,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday, October 1.
One of my shuwa-Arab friends said she can’t marry a poor man. I asked her what she would do if after her wedding her rich husband becomes poor. She said she would leave cos she can’t stay in his house and suffer”.
