Mother of all rallies hold Monday as nationwide protests Organisers reveal new venue
After two days of demonstrations nationwide, the #EndBadGovernance protesters at Freedom Park, Ojota, have pledged to organize a major protest in Lagos on Monday.
They announced that the venue for the ongoing protest will move to the Secretariat of the Lagos State Government at Alausa in Ikeja.
The protesters also complained about being restricted by security forces from exercising their constitutional right to protest.
One of the organizers said: “Our initial plan was to mobilize resources tomorrow, allow people rest, and then on Monday the mother of all protests would take place at Alausa.
“But they said some people are saying since Muslims held prayers on Friday, therefore, Christians want to hold worship here tomorrow as well.
“On Monday, we are to converge on Ojota by 7 am from where they’ll head to Alausa.”
