Monarch arrested by Police for allegedly threatening Judge
Detectives from the Rivers State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have detained His Royal Highness, Eze Cyprian Amadi-Worenwu, the Eze Risi Ohia-Emeri Abali of Rebisi, over accusations of threatening retired Justice Adolphus Enebeli and his family members.
Eze Amadi-Worenwu allegedly made threats against retired Justice Enebeli’s life following a judgment against him on March 28, 2023, in a traditional chieftaincy case.
Retired Justice Enebeli lodged a complaint with the Commissioner of Police, alleging that instead of appealing the judgment, Eze Amadi-Worenwu resorted to threatening him, his children, and his staff.
In response, retired Justice Enebeli urged urgent police intervention to prevent any potential harm from Eze Amadi-Worenwu.
Despite initially evading police summons, the accused was eventually apprehended by officers.
Currently, Eze Amadi-Worenwu is being detained at the State CID for investigation, with potential court proceedings looming.
