The path to a high-paying job used to involve getting the highest academic degree you could obtain, along with specific technical job skills, to start climbing the ladder. But today, most of the ladders are decimated. A lot of jobs that once were in Nigeria, aren’t coming back. The present situation in the world is no longer supporting the maxim of “studying hard” to get a good grade in order to get a good job”.
When Nigeria was founded, the majority of people had their own business, farm, market or trade. People used their skill sets and hobbies to make a living as entrepreneurs. Then the industrial age flipped the ratio and most people became employed by new systems of repetitive labor and mass production.
Today we are witnessing the death of that era; the corporate structure and monolithic systems of the industrial age have begun to crumble. We are returning to the way we started — as entrepreneurs. To succeed we need to change with the way the world is working now and embrace entrepreneurship.

Aketi remain totally committed and proactive in providing Great future for our youths, in Ondo State to continue to take the lead & remain relevant as active players in the scheme of things in Nigeria. This is the principle behind Mr. Governor’s directive to the Governing Council to “Retool, Reconstruct & Reposition Ondo State Polytechnic , Owo ( RUGIPO) and make it a leading research institute committed to improving the human condition through advanced science and technology’’
