Bishop Oyedepo stressed the importance of giving freely, which has contributed to the church’s growth and acceptance.

He also mentioned the church’s philanthropic efforts over the years, including providing aid to African nations in need. Since the early 1990s, the church has been actively involved in assisting countries facing conflicts and natural disasters.

Bishop Oyedepo highlighted the church’s support during Liberia’s civil war and Sierra Leone’s turmoil, as well as its ongoing humanitarian missions.

He also recalled the church’s quick response to crises like the Sierra Leone landslide and the Ikeja Bomb blast in Lagos in 2002.
