Manchester United legend Michael Carrick has reportedly gotten a job offer after quitting as Manchester United coach following the arrival of Ralf Rangnick.

Championship side Preston reportedly contacted Carrick after he left Manchester United but he turned down the offer in favour of a sabbatical leave from football.

Carrick was made Manchester United caretaker boss following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the Red Devils were unbeaten in his three games in charge against Villarreal, Chelsea and Arsenal.

However, Carrick rejected the chance to go back straight into club management as he wants a break from the game after 15-and-a-half rollercoaster years at Old Trafford.
