Message of truth and love best preferred to come from Church altar rather than political propaganda and undue interference – Rep member replies Ondo Bishop
The house of representatives member representing Owo and ose federal constituency, Dr. Timehin Adelegbe has Clarified the lingering statement flying on the media space credited to the Bishop of Owo Anglican church, Bishop Fagbemi on been far from his constituents after his election victory in 2023.
The lawmaker in a document signed and released to our heritage reporter by Hon. Olaniyi Eni-Olotu described the stand of the Lord’s Bishop Fagbemi as a baseless claim, far from the truth and deceitful, reflecting that the lawmaker achievements are unmatched and always available for record purposes.

our attention has just been drawn to a statement credited to the Diocesan Bishop of the Cathedral Church of Saint Andrew, Imola Owo, Revd. Stephen Fagbemi, where he lamented that Otunba Dr. Timehin Adelegbe, the two term federal lawmaker representing Owo/Ose Federal constituency is not accessible by people since he was elected.
One would have preferred to ignore the statement, but for the need to set the records straight, judging from the fact that the statement was made by a highly respected clergyman during his church service.
It’s on record that Otunba Dr. Timehin Adelegbe has been adjudged by his constituents as a true representative that really cares for his people, considering his monumental achievements in the Owo/Ose Federal constituency in the last six years.
In this year alone, Otunba Timehin Adelegbe was with his people for the sixth edition of his mega empowerment programme among students, artisans, market women and many different groups, where many went home with tricycles, motorcycles, hair dryers, laptops, cash grants, pumping machines, generators, deep freezers, among others.
Aside from all these, many projects initiated by him had been completed and he has recently released 300 million Naira to fast track the completion of all ongoing projects in the constituency.
It appears Reverend Fagbemi is unaware of the fact that Otunba Dr. Timehin Adelegbe spent over a fortnight with his people in celebration of the yuletide season.
Otunba Dr. Timehin Adelegbe is equally working assiduously to ensure that his party wins the forthcoming local government election, judging from his moral and financial support to all the party candidates in Owo and Ose LGAs.
One expects to hear a message of love, truth and unity from the altar of God, and not one that was borne out of shared hatred and primarily aimed at tarnishing somebody’s image for no just cause.
