MaxAir Announces 5-Day Flight Disruptions For Aircraft Maintenance

In a statement issued on Sunday and signed by the management, the airline said, “This necessary maintenance ensures we continue delivering safe, reliable, and efficient services to you.”

MaxAir Limited has announced temporary disruptions to its flight operations from January 4 to 8, 2025 due to scheduled aircraft maintenance.

In a statement issued on Sunday and signed by the management, the airline said, “This necessary maintenance ensures we continue delivering safe, reliable, and efficient services to you.”

During this period, some routes may experience adjustments or cancellations.

However, MaxAir assured passengers that all flight schedules would return to normal by January 9, 2025.

Passengers affected by the disruptions are encouraged to reschedule their flights without any additional charges.

In December 2024, SaharaReporters reported how the engine of a MaxAir aircraft conveying Borno State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Umar Kadafur, and over 100 passengers caught fire shortly after takeoff from the Maiduguri International Airport.

The aircraft was en route to Abuja when it suffered an engine failure caused by a bird strike about 10 minutes into the flight.

The pilot and crew managed to execute an emergency landing at the Maiduguri Airport, averting a disaster.

The airline in a statement explained that the pilot initiated the air return after noticing abnormal engine parameters.
