Marcus Rashford stood before the packed hall at the University of Manchester, his cap and gown a striking contrast to the stadium lights he was used to. The chancellor smiled as he presented Rashford with an honorary PhD in social justice and philanthropy.
“Today, we honor not just the footballer, but the man who fought for children to have meals when no one else would,” she said.
The applause was thunderous, but Rashford remained humble, taking the podium. “This isn’t just for me. It’s for every child who believes their circumstances don’t define their future. Education, like football, can change lives.
