Meanwhile, in another news, Nollywood actress, Ini Edo has said that she regretted getting married. Ini Edo spoke out about her broken marriage in a discussion with tv celebrity Chude Jideonwo.

The Movie beauty said that she had second thoughts about getting married in the first place.

If you remember, on November 29, 2008, the actress and American businessman Philip Ehiagwina were married.

But their marriage only lasted five years before ending in divorce in 2013.

Ini Edo said during the interview that her family had put pressure on her to be married, which she now views as a forced choice. Ini Edo highlighted that she thought it was important to find the appropriate spouse and that she would only contemplate a partnership with someone who was acceptable and suited for her.

She felt profound regret for her prior decisions and said, “I regretted my decision to get married because it wasn’t the right move to make.”

The actress chose a different route to parenting in 2021 and had a kid through surrogacy.

The Nollywood diva said that a string of miscarriages she had gone through had an impact on her choice. Ini Edo made the decision to look into surrogacy as a way to become a parent after being emotionally overburdened by the recurring pregnancy losses.

She made the decision to become a mother despite not having a spouse. She decided to use her own eggs and started the surrogacy process, thankful that they were healthy and enabled her to establish a biological relationship with her kid.
