Local Government Workers To Earn Salaries Number Of Days They Came To Work
BY RAYMOND OZOJI, Awka
Chairman of the Anambra State Local Government Service Commission Chief Vin Ifeanyichukwu Ezeaka says henceforth employees in the 21 local government areas of the state may begin to earn salaries the number of days they came to work.
Ezeaka who disclosed this during an exclusive interview with our correspondent in his office at the Government House Awka, expressed concern that lateness, redundancy, absenteeism and poor attitude to work seemed to have replaced diligence and commitment to work at the local government level.
Ezeaka also noted that issues of certificate forgery, impersonation, age falsification and all manner of corruptions have eaten deep into Anambra State Local Government System; hence the government of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has embarked on the cleansing and sanitisation of the local government system.
