REJECTION OF NOMINATION FOR VICE CHAIRMAN POSITION
Dear Governor. Akeredolu
I trust this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to formally express my gratitude for the nomination as the Vice Chairman of the newly created EKIMOGUN Local Council Development Area (LCDA) BAGBE, Ondo State. It is an honor to be considered for such a position, and I sincerely appreciate the confidence placed in me by the distinguished individuals who deemed it fit to nominate me.
However, after careful consideration and reflection on the dynamics surrounding the nomination, I must respectfully decline the nomination for the position of Vice Chairman. My term as the
Vice – Chairman of Ondo West Local Government was a valuable experience, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have served. The decision to decline the nomination is not a reflection on the qualifications of the nominated Chairman, Dr. Felix Akinola. I hold him in high regard and believe in his capability to lead.
However, as someone with prior experience in local government governance, I am concerned about potential challenges that may arise from the dynamics of having a Chairman and Vice – Chairman from the same Polling Unit and Ward. Additionally, the fact that the Chairman and I hail from the same Polling Unit and Ward could create a
perception of bias and imbalance in the distribution of leadership positions within the local government. This situation may inadvertently lead to discord among different units and wards, and it is in the interest of the party and the community to avoid such potential conflicts.
I am grateful for the support and nomination by prominent individuals, including the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN CON, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, the State Chairman of our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Honourable (Deaconess) LolaFagbemi, Dr. Jibayo Adeyeye, and my immediate past Chairman in Ondo West, Hon. Akinsulire Ebenezer Ayodeji. Your belief in my capabilities is deeply appreciated. I remain committed to the ideals and objectives of the All Progressives Congress and will
continue to actively contribute to the progress and success of the party. I look forward to continue collaborating with and serving the party in other capacities that align with my skills and experience.
