Senator Rasheed Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo State, has strongly denied assertions made by former All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader Chief Bisi Akande that he has crucial information on Chief Bola Ige’s death.

According to Ladoja, Akande’s claim was completely untrue.

In a recent interview, Akande said that Ladoja had joined the suspects in a no-case submission for the murder of the former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation.

However, Ladoja quickly denied the accusation, suggesting that Akande’s memory may have been affected by old age, causing him to misremember the events surrounding the assassination.

Ladoja also expressed disbelief that Akande, who claimed to know significant details about the case but refused to share them, did not provide the public with further clarity on the circumstances of Ige’s killing on December 23, 2001.

The ex-governor made these remarks during a press interaction at his Bodija residence in Ibadan, where he further questioned the timing and credibility of Akande’s claims.
