Renowned Fuji singer, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as KWAM 1, has been bestowed with the esteemed title of Balogun of Ilupeju Ekiti. This honour was conferred upon him by His Royal Majesty, Oba Sunday Awe, The Apeju of Ilupeju Ekiti, in a grand ceremony held today, February 8, 2025.

This recognition is a testament to KWAM 1’s enduring impact on Nigerian culture and a nod to his roots, as his late mother, Alhaja Halimat Shadia Anifowoshe, was a princess from Ilupeju-Ekiti.¹ Congratulations to the Fuji legend on this well-deserved honour………
