The Yoruba Leader and founder of the umbrella body of Yoruba self-determination groups, Ilana Omo Oodua (IOO), Professor Banji Akintoye has assured the Yorubas in Brazil that the Yorubas will leave Nígeria before the 2023 Elections , he said that the Yorubas are no longer interested in Nigeria.
The Yoruba agitator also mentioned that the plans to leave Nígeria before the 2023 elections are already machinated , and shall be executed without violence , “ we are for peace , we want to go without violence. self determination is not a crime “ he said
The Professor who spoke at a Yoruba Conference held in Brazil said the Yoruba race is too intelligent to be ruled by the fulanis or any other race in Nigeria, he Insisted that the Yorubas must be liberated from Nigeria with immediate effect .
Prof . Akintoye said that the struggles of all the Yoruba agitators around the world shall never be in vain , he said the struggles shall deliver the entire Yoruba race from the nets of the Oppressed.
Akintoye said that the Yorubas contributed a lot to the development of Nigeria , he said the race deserves to be treated better, he condemned the present leadership in Nígeria . Akintoye said that the Yorubas must leave Nigeria by all cost.
Prof.Akintoye said that the Yoruba race in Nigeria has been subjected to blackmails The Yoruba Elder and militant said that all the important Presidential elections won by Yoruba candidates In Nígeria has never been handed over to them , he called for self determination.
The Professor of History cited the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief M.K.O .Abiola in the 1979, 1983 and 1993 Presidential elections in Nigeria, he affirmed that all these elections were won by the Yoruba candidates but they were all denied their chances to assume offices.
The agitator who joined the zoom conference from his residence in Cotonou, Rep. of Benin said that the Rtd.Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo ruled Nígeria for 8 years without any achievement , he said Obasanjo did nothing to improve the lives of the Yoruba people, he affirmed that Obasanjo served the Northerners, he did nothing to benefit the Yorubas .
In a conference organized and moderated by the Brazil based Nigerian artist and writer, the noble man responded to sensitive questions from Comrade Idowu Lawrence , Babalawo Adebayo Majaro, the Ilana Omo Odua founder said that violence will never be adopted by the Yoruba race to leave Nigeria, he said that the international community will have to supervise a Referendum In Nígeria to decide the interests of the Yorubas.
The 86 year old former senator said that the country, Nígeria has been mapped to favor the Northerners only, he cited the 1999 constitution as a proof of injustice, he said that his book about to be launched shall tackle all the doubts of this generation who actually did not know what transpired in Nigeria before the independence.
The Vibrant Yoruba agitator said that nothing good can come from Nigeria to the Yorubas, he said the Yorubas must reject Nigeria , he said Nígeria is a scam that enables the South to feed the North with their resources, he urged the agitators to continue with their struggles until Yoruba nation is attained.
