The Department of State Security (DSS) Enugu State Command, in conjunction with troops of the Nigerian Army, have apprehended an escapee of the Jos jailbreak, Chimezie Chukwu, also known as Biggi.

According to the Army, Biggi, who was described as a drug peddler and gunrunner, was arrested over the weekend following a raid by the troops of Sector 1 of the Joint Task Force South East Operation UDO KA II on a suspected Eastern Security Network (ESN) hideout.

In a statement issued on Sunday by Lt.-Col. Jonah Unuakhalu, spokesperson for Joint Task Force Operation UDO KA II, the hideout was located in Ugbakwa Village in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State.
