Just In : Supreme Court Upholds PDP candidateas duly elected Governor
The Supreme Court has upheld the victory of Siminalayi Fubara from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the Governor of Rivers State. In a unanimous decision on Thursday, a five-member panel of the court declared that the appeal filed by Tonye Cole of the All Progressives Congress (APC) lacked merit. Justice Ibrahim Saulawa, delivering the lead judgment, emphasized that Cole and the APC were unable to substantiate their case with sufficient evidence. Justice Saulawa addressed and resolved all four issues identified for determination in the appeal against the appellants, subsequently dismissing the appeal.
