Just In : President Buhari gives fresh appointment to former Army General
President Muhammadu Buhari has assigned Major General Barry Tariye Ndiomu to the position of Interim Administrator of the Amnesty Program.
The spokeman to the president, Femi Adesina, in a statement said, the appointee hails from Odoni in Sagbama local government area of Bayelsa State, and was admitted to the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) as part of 29th Regular Combatant Course.
In 1983, he was commissioned Second Lieutenant.
He also held several Command and Staff appointments in the course of his successful military career, before he retired in December 2017.
Gen. Ndiomu who also trained as a lawyer, is an alumnus of National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), Badagry, Harvard Kennedy School, and George C Marshall Centre for European Security Studies, among others.
