Just In : Owo National Student Body Show up Concerns, Rate Rep Member Low on Performances and Students Welfare
The National body of the students in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo has shown a depressed heart on the performance of the member Representing the ancient Town at the House of representatives Abuja.
The concerns of the students body was made known in an open written document dully signed by the Excecutives of the students body released to our heritage reporters.

_”Great and pure thoughts cannot be deposited in minds accumulated with rubbish.”_. It is with deep sadness and an high level of disappointment, we bring to the notice of the general public that Hon. Timehin Adelegbe, the Member representing the federal constituencies of Owo and Ose Local Governments in the Green Chamber of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is truly an anti-students development entity. A tyrant that does not care about governance of his constituents, a thief that has come to loot and deprive us of all entitlements.
On the 5th day of March, 2022, the National Leadership of OLGASU after several failed attempts to meet with the MHR was left with no other option than to invoke a National Demonstration against Timehin Adelegbe. The demonstration was targeted at bringing to the hearing of the dishonorable MHR, the needs of the students constituency and to also question him on why he has decided not to grant audience to the leadership of the union since his assumption to office. Immediately after he saw the broadcast, the same MHR we have been calling and sending letters to for a very long time, called the National President of the union within 30 mins and he begged that he does not want the proposed date for the demonstration, which is his birthday to turn something else and he offered to host the National Leadership of the union to a round table discussion so as to iron issues out, with the promise that everything will be resolved.
After he dropped his call, the Union also received series of calls from other well recognized and highly scouted figures across the Local Government, and they all beseeched the union to go back to a round table discussion with Adelegbe. That same night, the Union released another broadcast that called for an halt in the earlier invoked Demonstration and we agreed to meet him.
The National leadership of the union under the leadership of Comr. Ojigbo Adewunmi led a 5 man team of delegates to the dishonest MHR’s Hotel in Akure where the meeting was held. The union presented her demands to him and he obliged to them.
He agreed to give the union a Bus, printing of 20,000 copies of Notebooks for primary and secondary schools students and bursary payments to students in the higher institutions. After about 2 weeks and we didn’t hear from him, neither does he pick our calls anymore, we started to go through his aides so as to access him. Few days ago, we were informed by his aides to send a soft copy of the designs for the notebooks or get a publisher for the printing job, which we did. But it is so sardonic and pathetic to report to the public, that Timehin Adelegbe has refused to pay the money since then. He has refused to pick our calls, nor return texts.
It is so saddening that, the dishonorable MHR has decided to play politics instead of governance, at the detriments of his constituents. He has shown his lack of capacity to bring developments to the students and lackadaisical attitudes towards every activities of the union. We have several reports of how he has been spending huge amounts to get his return ticket which of course we pray he will never get there again. (May evil not befall us twice)
Timehin Adelegbe lied to the students and he has failed us. He said categorically that we are not useful and cannot in anyway help him secure his political party’s ticket and that is why he does not have any plans for us yet. It appears he has forgotten he is a sitting MHR and by the virtue of that, he’s supposed to play governance and can be subjected to quizzing, if he does otherwise.
After all being said, the National Leadership of the union hereby passes a vote of no confidence on the dishonorable MHR, and declares him a persona non grata within the students’ community of Owo Local Government and if by any chance, we see him near any of our campuses, secretariats or affiliated unions, then he should be fully mobilized to shoot and kill as many as possible *armless* but dogged and radical Owo students, as we will not think twice before we make mobilizations to embarrass and disgrace him till he fulfills his promises.
Adelegbe has proven himself to be a thief, dishonorable, dishonest and an incorrigible liar, and we will treat him as such.
