Ahead of November 11, 2023 Imo State Governorship election, a woman of substance, Dr. Ngozi Aririguzo, has declared her interest to run for the election under the platform of All Progressive grand Alliance (APGA).

Interacting with journalists in Owerri, the Imo State capital, yesterday, Aririguzo explained that her decision to contest the guber primary under APGA is to firmly revolutionize agriculture, digital skills to employ youths and women which will contribute greatly to economic development and growth of the state , if finally she clinch to victory at the party primaries on Sunday.

According to her “women are focused, they are not easily distracted like men, every success story of every man is attributed to his good wife. Women naturally are good administrators and good managers. My role model is Dr. Okonja Iwuala, who has performed wonderfully beyond Nigeria politics, Hon. Mrs. Chris Anyanwu, a Senator and one time Commissioner in Imo state and other great women of substance are sources of encouragement to my political aspirations”.

“My own style of politics is not going to be different, what am asking for is a little space. I will carry the world on my head, the victory of Aishatu Binani Dahiru as the winner of the governorship primary in the North Eastern State of Adamawa is a great encouragement for me despite the battle she is fighting currently”, she said.

Aririguzo noted that she is the first Publicity Secretary of All Progressive Grand Alliance, as well as the first female aspirant to contest governorship election in the history of APGA as a political party in Imo State.

While affirming that she has come to emancipate the people by empowering them financially and socially, the consummate politician and democrat emphasized that she believes in generational change and sterling leadership, even as she made reference of being elected as the first female counselor at the age of 23, saying she will perform wonderfully if elected governor of Imo State.
