The member representing Okigwe North Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon Princess Miriam Onuoha, has been assured of re-election victory next year by the members and stakeholders of APC in Okigwe LGA.

This declaration of support towards her re-election bid was unequivocally made known on Saturday, 20th of August, 2022 at the LGA, on a thank you visit embarked by the lawmaker, alongside other candidates of the party to the members and stakeholders of the party.

Speaking, the Sole Administrator of Okigwe LGA, Hon Lady(Mrs) Nkechi Mbonu stated that the good works of Hon Princess Onuoha in Okigwe LGA, within two years in office, have earned her the massive support from the people of the area.
She also seized the opportunity to remind all and sundry that, Hon Princess Onuoha’s candidacy remains the only share and sense of belonging given to the Imo women, as we get ready to launch into the post 2023 Political dispensation. And as such, the APC as a party deserves the non fringing support of Okigwe women for this show of magnanimity and concern towards gender sensitivity by the party.

All the stakeholders, youths, women and leaders of the party, inclusively various support groups present, took time to enlist most of the laudable projects and programs of Hon. Princess Miriam Onuoha in Okigwe LGA. Some of the projects include but not limited to the construction and asphalting of the 3Km Mechanic village road, Okigwe, the reconstruction and equipping of Urban primary school, equipping of various public primary Schools in Okigwe with desks, study materials and science laboratory equipments, the construction of Ihube migrant school, borehole project at Eke Okigwe market, the HPMO football tournaments/sports training of Okigwe youths, installation of energized transformers in some communities of Okigwe; Ndi Uche electrification project, installation of solar street lights in all wards and major streets of Okigwe, the several phases of free medical outreach, facilitation of federal employments for some Okigwe indigenes and to mention but a few.

Hon Princess Miriam Onuoha thanked the members of the party and general public, for their support during primary election. Aside her visible achievements in Okigwe LGA, She however revealed that her bill for the established of Federal Medical Center in Okigwe would soon bear fruit, as the State government had gotten a nod from the Federal government, to turn the existing Federal medical center Owerri into a Teaching hospital for FUTO, hence a new FMC would spring up and that will be sited in Okigwe LGA, in light with her proposed bill at the National Assembly. According to her, just recently, she made fruitful efforts for the revitalization of the abandoned Okigwe water scheme. Revealing further, She made it clear how she lobbied to ensure that work recommenced at the siloh sited at Ezinnachi community, upon completion would provide not less than two thousand direct and indirect jobs.

The people of Okigwe LGA were overjoyed and grateful to Hon Onuoha for her commitment towards a better Okigwe North federal constituency. As they all saw countless reasons to re-elect her at the poll, next year.

Some of the dignitaries present include but not limited to Hon Lady (Mrs) Nkechi Mbonu – Sole Administrator of Okigwe LGA, Hon Patrick Ndubueze – APC Senatorial candidate for Imo North, Hon Chidi Ogbunikpa – Member representing Okigwe Constituency at IMHA, Hon Dan Ogu- Hon Commissioner for youths and Sports, Hon Emeka Okoronkwo, the LGA Chairman of APC, Hon Chief Ikpo and members of his Exco.
