Just In : Lawmaker shot dead, two Wives abducted by Gunmen
Unknown Gunmen have shot dead a newly elected councillor in Katsina State during their raid on his community in early hours of Wednesday.
According to reports, the late councillor, Alhaji Nasiru Magaji, was killed in Gozaki town of Kafur Local Government Area of the state.
He was reportedly shot in his residence and rushed to a hospital in Malumfashi, where he was confirmed dead.
According to the Daily Trust, a resident of Gozaki, Abdullahi Gozaki, said that the gunmen who were about 10 in number also abducted the two wives of the slain councillor, but later released them.
The resident said: “They attacked in the early hours of today (Wednesday) around 12:30 am, killed the councillor and abducted his two wives but later sent them back home.”
