A viral video shared on social media by @DefenceTimes1 showed the lawmaker and his entourage being physically assaulted by residents who accused him of ignoring their welfare despite receiving significant electoral support.
Hon. Olusoji Adetunji, a House of Representatives member representing Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin federal constituency in Osun State, was harassed by his constituents during a recent visit to his hometown.

The incident happened in Ada community in the Boripe local government area, prompting strong reactions online.
For instance, Khaleefa Oomar (@DefenceTimes1), in a post accompanying the video on X, ominously warned of a potential revolution brewing in Osun State due to widespread dissatisfaction.

When SaharaReporters contacted the lawmaker’s aide, Mr Tope Awolusi, for a reaction to the attack, he said, “Presently, Honourable is with all the people in his constituency with loud ovation and in a joyful mood over the just concluded yesterday multimillion projects hosted by him. The state governor sent a representative and other notable dignitaries were present there.”
