Just In : Labour Party candidate Peter Obi attacked for accepting donation from SS2 Student
The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has criticized the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi for accepting a cash donation from a secondary school student.
Recall that Obi announced the donation on Sunday via his official Twitter account, expressing that the young girl, Chizzy Ebube Balogun has invested in her future and those of her contemporaries and generations yet unborn.
Obi wrote, “My deep appreciation to Ms. Chizzy Ebube Balogun, a secondary school (SS2) student, for her small but most invaluable donation. She has invested in her future and those of her contemporaries and generations yet unborn. She is an exemplar in social consciousness.
However, Sowore in a tweet described the donation as a campaign scam, sharing pictures of a similar donation accepted by President Muhammadu Buhari few years ago.
The AAC candidate wrote, “Same scam different era! #WeCantContinueLikeThis
