Israeli Energy Minister Israel Katz declared on Thursday that his country would not permit essential resources or humanitarian aid to enter Gaza until Hamas releases the individuals it abducted during its unexpected weekend attack.

During the Saturday attack, approximately 150 Israelis, along with foreigners and dual nationals, were taken captive by Hamas militants and transported to the Gaza Strip. This assault claimed the lives of over 1,200 individuals in Israeli towns and communities near the enclave.

In recent developments, Israel declared a comprehensive blockade on Gaza, severing water, fuel, and electricity supplies. Consequently, the Palestinian territory’s only power plant ceased operations on Wednesday due to fuel depletion.
