1. Governor Ahmed of Sokoto has obtained the approval of the State executive council to forward a bill to the state assembly that seeks to amend the existing law on appointment & deposition of traditional heads in Sokoto state. The bill will be forwarded for stamping on monday
2. Majorly, the bill seeks to completely dispossess the sultan of the power to appoint, suspend, punish, transfer, etc, any traditional ruler down to the ward head.
3. Same power shall be wholly, completely, and entirely vested to the governor without having to consult anybody.
