Just In : Governor Sacks Universal Basic Education Board Chairman

Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has removed the Chairman of Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB), Dr. Gabriel Ajah.

SaharaReporters gathered that Aja, who was former Secretary to the State Government under the administration of former Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, announced his removal to the staff of the board on Monday during an emergency meeting.
He reportedly told the staff that the governor had directed that he should leave his position.
According to him, the state government conducted a minor reshuffling of the board and that Bankho, who was a member of the board would take over as the new chairman.
Meanwhile, Dr. Amaka Ngene, who was Member 1 of the board has been moved to the Science, Technical and Vocational Schools Management Board (STVSMB) as the Chairman.
No reason has been given by the state government for Ajah’s removal.
