Just In : Governor mourns as two ex-commissioners Dies
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has mourned the death of two former commissioners in the state, Chief Diran Adesua and Mrs Titilayo Ojo.
Adesua served in the cabinet of ex-Governor Kayode Fayemi, first as Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development and later as Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development.
Ojo, on her part, served as Commissioner for Education during the administration of Otunba Niyi Adebayo.
She was a renowned leader of the All Progressives Congress in the Ikole Local Government and Ekiti State.
In separate statements on Sunday, Oyebanji described the death of the two ex-commissioners as a loss to the state.
In a condolence message signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Olayinka Oyebode, the governor described Adesua’s death as “an irreparable loss to the progressives fold of the All Progressives Congress and the state at large.”
“Though his death is shocking and sad, we are consoled by the impactful life he lived as a community leader, distinguished professional, and politician. It is our prayer that the good Lord will grant him eternal rest and comfort the family he left behind,” Oyebanji said.
According to the statement, Oyebanji paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Ojo at Odo Ayedun Ekiti on Saturday to commiserate with her widower, Ayo Ojo, the children, and the entire APC family in the Ikole LGA.
He said, “We shall miss Mama Titilayo Ojo, no doubt. But she will be remembered for her diligence, discipline, and dedication to good causes. May God grant her eternal rest and comfort the family,” the governor said.
