JUST IN: FG Unveils First Cargo Movement On Lagos-Ibadan Rail Corridor

Our heritage reporter gathered that the Minister of Transportation Saidu Alkali, on Tuesday, unveiled the first cargo movement on the Lagos-Ibadan rail corridor.

Alkali led the launching during his inaugural official tour of the rail corridor.

The tour commenced at the Ebute Meta station, followed by the official launch ceremony at Apapa.

Subsequently, Alkali travelled to Ibadan via the 157 km rail corridor.

The inaugural freight movement saw three coaches loaded onto 30 wagons, signifying the commencement of cargo transportation on the corridor.
