Just In : Female Member Performs Alleged Ritual Inside Evang Ebuka Obi’s Church
In response to a complaint of human ritual inside his church made by a female member, Mrs. Salome Onwuka, police detectives from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba, Lagos, have started an investigation on Prophet Chukwuebuka Anozie Obi, the founder of the Zion Prayer Movement Ministry.
According to INFOXCLUSIVE, the event allegedly happened at the church in Hossan Estate, Ago Okota, Lagos.
Mrs. Salome Onwuka, a female churchgoer, claimed that some churchgoers had allegedly interred people for ritual purposes inside the church.
Onwuka said in a petition to the SCID, Yaba, that some of the prophet’s assistants had buried human heads in the cathedral at night and covered it with blocks. And that she caught them when she went to the church for prayers and listed some members behind the alleged ritual to the Police.
So, the police began their investigation. They went to the church but were unable to find Prophet Obi, but they left a letter of invitation and urged him to report to the SCID, Yaba, for questioning on the claims.
Prophet Obi was supposed to have gone to the mountain for prayers in advance of a one-week program that will take place by the following week in the church, but as of the time of this report, he has not reported to the SCID, Yaba.
Mrs. Salome asserted that she was invited to the church by the Police to show them where she believed some human heads were buried as part of the Police’s ongoing inquiry.
However, when she was seen in and around the church, Blessing Aneto, a female security guard, started a verbal altercation with her. This resulted in a brawl, and the Police at Ago Okota Division were called. She was detained and accused of behaviour that would have disturbed the peace in front of the Isolo Magistrate Court.
Prior to being arrested and hauled before the court for prosecution, Mrs. Onwuka spoke to the court as she was about to be arraigned. She explained that she is from Ikorodu and was in the church when she learned about the alleged ritual in the middle of the night and made the decision to inform the police.
She wrote a petition and made untrue claims, the Church’s attorney, Barrister Patrick Chukwuma, informed the court. She was seen in and around the church, where she was fighting the security man, while the Police were still looking into the incident.
As a result of the accusations Mrs. Salome made against the church, the presiding magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, released Mrs. Salome to her in-law, who was present in court, to take her to the hospital for a mental assessment. In order to prevent a disruption of the public peace, she was also advised not to visit the church.
