RECTOR RECEIVES NIWE FELLOWSHIP AWARD
The smart Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Engr Dr Michael Arimanwa FNSE, has been nominated to be conferred with the Fellowship of the Nigerian Institute of Water Engineers (NIWE). The conferment, according to information available to FEDPONEK GAZETTE, has been scheduled for the second week of March, 2022.
It will be recalled that the iconic achievements of the Rector in scholarship, infrastructure and human capital development in Federal Polytechnic Nekede had won him many fellowship awards, making him: Fellow Nigeria Society of Engineers (FNSE), Fellow Nigeria Oil and Gas Academy (FNOGA), Fellow Fishery Society of Nigeria (FFSN) and Fellow Occupational Safety and Health Association of Nigeria (FOSHAN), among others.
With the official induction and conferment ceremony mid-March, the cerebral Rector would effectively become a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Water Engineers (FNIWE). Being an accomplished engineer of professorial heights, Engr Dr M.C. Arimanwa has expanded the frontiers of Engineering Technology in Federal Polytechnic Nekede with the introduction of HND Geological Engineering, HND Mineral Engineering Technology, HND Petroleum Engineering Technology, HND Agriculture and Bio-environmental Engineering Technology, among others.
The Rector becomes even more deserving of the Fellowship award with his heroic efforts in the introduction of ND Hydrology and Water Resources Management, a programme that has already scaled through a resource assessment procedure conducted by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
