Just In : El-rufai endorsed as Bola Tinubu’s running mate.
Nasir El-rufai, the governor of Kaduna state, has received the endorsement of the Tinubu Support Organization to serve as Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s running mate.
Our heritage reporter reports that Tinubu recently acknowledged that he is still looking for a running mate. It has been rumoured for a while that Kashima Shettima, the former governor of Borno, and Prof. Babagana Zulum, the current governor of Borno, are the two leading candidates being considered to run with Tinubu.
Director-General, Aminu Suleiman, stated at a press conference on Monday in Kaduna that the group chose El-Rufai after meeting with important stakeholders from the northwest zone and elsewhere.
He thinks that Tinubu’s choice of running mate will make the difference between his victory and failure in 2023. As a result, the organisation, which has considered all of the options, believes that the vice presidential candidate for the APC should come from the northwest, which has the largest voting bloc in the nation.
El-Rufai is the best candidate to support Tinubu as vice president, according to the group. El-Rufai is very experienced and has excelled in both politics and governance at the federal and state levels.

But after weighing all the possibilities, TSO believes that the APC’s vice presidential candidate should come from the North-West, which is Nigeria’s single largest voting region. “In our opinion, Malam Nasir El-Rufai is the VP who can best support Asiwaju.”
