Just In : EKITI Police Arrests Five Suspected Kidnappers, Gives Update On Murder Of Two Monarchs
THE Ekiti State Police Command has announced the arrests of five Fulani herdsmen over kidnap cases.
In a terse statement available to our heritage reporter on their official X.com handle, the police said,
“Five suspected kidnappers arrested
During interrogation, the suspects claimed to be herdsmen but it was later discovered that none of them has a cattle
The following items were found with them in the forest; Two Motorcycles, one cutlass, one jack knife/ dagger and four phones.“
They released a paragraph statement on the murder of two Traditional Rulers who were killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen on their way back home after attending security meeting at Ado-Ekiti.
“Murder of two monarchs in Ikole-Ekiti :
It’s a suspected case of murder. Necessary action is underway as Tactical and Intelligence teams have been deployed to that axis in order to ensure the perpetrators are arrested and brought to book.”
