Just In : Details Emerge As Obasanjo Storms Afenifere Leader, Adebanjo’s Residence
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo paid a visit to Pa Ayo Adebanjo, the leader of the Pan-Yoruba sociopolitical organization Afenifere, at his country home in Ogbo Ijebu, Odogbolu Local Government Area, Ogun, on Monday to wish him a happy 95th birthday.
Obasanjo, dressed in white, arrived at Pa Adebanjo’s residence at 9:13 a.m., accompanied by Chief Oyewole Fasawe and a clergyman.
The former president, who knelt in the living room, then directed the cleric, whose name was not revealed, to pray for Pa Adebanjo.
Despite the fact that his visit was brief, he rejoiced with his host, who praised him for identifying with him on his birthday.
When cornered for a brief chat while leaving the residence at about 9:23 am in his black Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), Obasanjo declined, saying “I just came to felicitate Pa Adebanjo and not for any interview. You can come to me for an interview later in another day for an interview. Thanks”.
