Just In : Appeal Court Dismisses Ondo Assembly’s Appeal Against Aiyedatiwa

The Court of Appeal Abuja Judicial Division on Thursday dismissed the appeal of the Ondo State House of Assembly against the interim order stopping the impeachment plot of the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Justice Emeka Nwite had on 26th September, 2023, granted an interim order to stop the impeachment process against the deputy governor. Dissatisfied, the counsel to the State House of Assembly, Femi Emodamori appealed the ruling.

However, on Thursday 30th November, 2023, Dr Remi Olatubora SAN move a notice of withdrawal. He said parties have found political solutions to their problems.

The notice of withdrawal filed on the 30th November, 2023, was dated 29th November, 2023. Counsel to the Deputy Governor, Adegoke Kayode Adewusi and others did not object.

Subsequently, the Court dismissed the case accordingly.
