Just In : APC Suspends Campaign Activities in Kwara
APC has suspended its campaign activities in Kwara as confirmed by our heritage reporter.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has suspended all outdoor campaign activities for the next week in honour of the State House of Assembly Majority Leader, Abubakar Magaji Olawoyin, who died early Monday.
A statement by the State Chairman of the party, Prince Sunday Fagbemi in Ilorin on Monday said “We hereby call on all our party organs, candidates and support groups to put a hold to all outdoor campaign rallies and activities for the next seven days until after the Fidau prayer.
“We pray that Allah will grant Al-Jannah to all our dead, especially the Leader of the 9th Kwara State House of Assembly Hon. Abubakar Magaji Olawoyin.” After a brief illness, the Majority Leader died on Monday at the age of 57 in Ilorin. 2023: APC Candidates Bag Award of Honours in Calabar In the House of Assembly, he represented Ilorin Central Constituency, and he hopes to run for a second term in the upcoming general election.
