Just In : 50 Students Bag Scholarships At Ooni’s Christmas Party
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, on Tuesday awarded scholarships to 50 students in Ile-Ife, during the 2022 Christmas party at his palace.
The beneficiaries were from primary and secondary schools in Ile-Ife, as well as schools for persons with special needs.
According to Ooni’s spokesperson, Moses Olafare, in a statement on Wednesday, the first-class monarch was represented by one of his wives, Olori Temitope Adesegun-Ogunwusi, who doubles as boss of the monarch’s charity, Hopes Alive Initiatives, the organisers of the children’s Christmas party.
The wife of the monarch was said to have urged the children to remain focused in their education, imbibe the spirit of hard work and look up to good people with virtuous characters as role models.
Mrs. Olusola Adewusi, the wife of the Deputy Governor of Osun State, also attended the event.
