The Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Matawalle, has extended his goodwill message to President Bola Tinubu on this year’s Democracy Day celebration, commending his pivotal role in fighting for democracy and contributing seriously to its sustainance in Nigeria.

Dr. Matawalle, who oversees the coordination of the armed forces, has played a significant role in supporting President Tinubu’s efforts to promote democratic values in the country.

He emphasized that the successes recorded by the Defence Ministry are largely attributable to President Tinubu’s exceptional leadership style, describing him as a committed democrat.

According to Dr. Matawalle, democratic principles have flourished under President Tinubu’s administration, contributing to national unity, progress and development. He highlighted President Tinubu’s longstanding dedication to democracy, noting his ongoing efforts to strengthen and deepen democratic practices in Nigeria.

The Honourable Minister urged all Nigerians to support President Tinubu’s vision for the “Renewed Hope” agenda, emphasizing the President’s commitment to addressing past wrongs and fostering a better future for the country.

“I congratulate Nigerians of every divide as we celebrate this years democracy day, noting 25years of uninterrupted democracy hence I enjoin us all to continue to support the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu as that will change the wrong narratives about governance in our country.

25years of uninterrupted Democracy tells we have a lot to celebrate about,” Dr. Matawalle stated.

The Minister said that the celebration will never be complete without commending members of the Nigerian Armed Forces for their unwavering commitment in sustaining Democracy in Nigeria.

With 25 years of uninterrupted democratic practice in Nigeria, it shows that we are a right path as a people and as a Nation for the government of the People.
