Jealous House Wife Pours Hot Water On Husband’s ‘Concubine’ In ondo
Mrs Esther Godwin, a food seller and housewife in Ondo State, has been apprehended by detectives for allegedly scalding a nursing mother named Samuel Endurance with hot water.
The incident reportedly occurred due to suspicions of an illicit affair between Mrs. Godwin’s husband and the victim.
The arrest took place over the weekend after Mrs. Godwin enticed the victim, Samuel, to her residence in the Olofin community of Idanre, located in the Idanre Local Council Area of the state.
According to sources, the suspect contacted the victim, pretending to ask her to come over and collect palm oil for her husband. Samuel promptly rushed to the house with her baby, expecting to receive the palm oil.
However, to her astonishment, after the suspect took the baby from her, she confronted Samuel about her relationship with her husband. Samuel denied any romantic involvement and stated that their connection was solely based on her work for the suspect’s husband.
Allegedly, the suspect rushed into her room, emerged with a kettle of boiling water, and poured it onto Samuel’s body.
Immediately, the victim was rushed to a local health center and later transferred to the General Hospital in Alade Idanre, where she is currently undergoing treatment.
Recalling her ordeal from her hospital bed, Samuel explained that although she often worked on the suspect’s husband’s farm, there was no relationship between them apart from being employer and employee.
Funmilayo Odunlami, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Ondo State, confirmed the suspect’s arrest and stated that she would face charges
