IVO COUNCIL CHAIRMAN STATIONED ARREST OF KIDNAPPERS TERRORISING COMMUNITY
In maintaining it objectival mandate in security network of ivo local government area, safeguarding life and properties of her people and dire passion to Combat and eradicate incessant criminals activities of kidnapping by heartless bandits and insurgents hovering round the local council.
The Executive Chairman of Ivo local government area, Hon. Chief Ajah Emmanual Ogbonnaya (Confirm) stationed a massive successful operation through a special squad of anti-kidnapping unit that led to the arrest of eight (8) suspected kidnappers and killing two (2) of their members resulted from critical wounds during a fierce gun duel, while relentless investigations is on progress to nab their kingpin by name “Alhaji” after escape.
The suspected gang are allegedly responsible for various kidnapping crimes happening in the council area, including the recent dreadful attack along Mpu/Ishiagu express road on the 18th Day of June, 2023 that involved the killing of an INEC officer and a farmer.
As popular layman’s say “everyday for a thief, one day for the owner”, it was a day never to witness by this hooligans, after they were dispossessed of their charms and nabbed along lonkpanta in Abia State and Agwu local government area of Enugu State.
Meanwhile, the administration of Hon. Chief Ajah Emmanual Ogbonnaya is working extensively in ensuring total sanity and crime-free society as no society can experience developmental growth where crime prevailed. And called on “every indigenes of Ivo LGA and people living therein, to desist from conspiracies and every connection to commit crime as no one will be spared”, therefore, report useful security information to the authorities.
