Irate Protesters display Five Copses killed by Herdsmen
Irate Protesters on Wednesday shut down the Governor’s Office at Alagbaka, Akure, Ondo State capital, over alleged killing of another five farmers by armed herdsmen in the last 24 hours.
The farmers were shot dead in another invasion by armed herdsmen at Aba Oyinbo, Akure North Local Government Area of the state.
The protesters who blocked All roads linking the Governor’s office also displayed Corpses of the victims killed by the herdsmen.
The farmers were killed early hours of Wednesday by the armed herdsmen who had about a fortnight ago killed about 20 farmers in four farm settlements in the same local government.
Activities at the governor’s office were grounded for hours following the protest.
The protest to the governor’s office was the second in the last few weeks following the surge in kidnappings in the state..
However the deputy governor Hon Olayide Adelami who attended to the protesters assured that government is working with security agencies to bring the perpetuators to justice
