Just like the governor said in his address, the passionate Aide of Uzodimma, noted that through this stakeholders meeting, Uzodimma has succeeded in restoring democracy and good governance back to Imo people.

According to the Governor, his government was founded on the democratic principles of openness, people oriented, transparent, accountablity and all inclusive government.

“I am sure that many of us will recall that there was once upon a time, when the governing process of Imo State was shrouded in secrecy. Not only did Imo people not know how their State was governed, or about their budget, there was in fact a big wedge between the people and the government. The wedge was So wide that those who attempted to cross it to know what was happening in government, got marooned in it. I challenge anyone to produce one single document of the previous administration where it showcased its report card to the people of the State.” He submitted amidst cheering from Imo people.

She further explained that, this New Year gathering, will build a very strong bridge for people to have assess to government activities and to have full knowledge of how the government is being run by Uzodimma’s administration, hence government is about the people she added.

The stakeholders meeting, which was chaired by Hon. Leo Stan Eke, Chairman Zenox Group recorded massive attendance across the state while the governor seized the opportunity to give an account of his stewardship as his administration of Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Recovery of Imo state, get close to his two years anniversary.

The SDGs Boss, also used the medium to outline the areas the governor has performed wonderfully well, which according to her, they includes Road Infrastructure, Security, Local Government Administration, Revenue generation, Agriculture, Tourism Health, Land Administration, Commerce and Industry and Education, among others.

“For us one of our greatest achievements in the education sector is the recovery of the K. O. Mbadiwe University for Imo people. As you know, the University was built and furnished with tax-payers money of not less than 40 billion naira. Yet, an individual abusing his office as a Governor, brazenly wanted to appropriate it to himself and his Family as a privately owned establishment. I am glad to report to you that at the second week of December, I received a certificate of ownership for the university on behalf of the Government and the people of Imo State. Today, as we speak, that university is now the rightful property of Imo State” coined from governor’s speech.

In her conclusion, she called on all and sundry, to fully support the current government for the benefit of all.

“What Uzodimma’s administration needs now is not unconstructive criticism but full support, prayers, let all hands be on deck, let everybody put hands to build Imo state, Imo state is our only state, we have no state of our own except Imo state” She affirmed.
