The man of God based his sermon on the bible story in1samuel chapter 15 vs 20:24. The story talks about how God gave Saul, an assignment to destroy the Amalekites completely. Instead of Saul to adhere strictly to God’s instructions, he speard and brought back Agag, the king of Amalekite, took the best of sheep, cattle and gold in order to sacrifice them to the Lord. In verse 22 of thesame chapter, Samuel rebuked Saul, saying, “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than fat of rams. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He has rejected you as king”.
