The national president of Igbo peace AMBASSADORS Amb.uju Okoro who made this statement at the high powered Delegation Meeting of the Association held at its headquarters Enugu.theme Towards achieving Reasonably Maximum Security in the south East.
Amb Uju said to be able to tackle a problem one must first and foremost gets it root course. Before we talk about curbing security in any part of the world at large we should be able to find out the insignificant root cause of the crisis. Each crisis has its do it course which can be traced toward achieving peace.
Any one who thinks that crisis can be managed by security operatives is far from what crisis can be defined as. Find out out why are the people continuously agitating and how it can be settled amicably.
Any group either ipob, Miyetti Allah,bandit,etc must be crying over a particular thing. It is the responsibility of the rulling government to call those concerned early enough before it escalate into an uncontrollable state.
I speak not in favour of any but not happy that some group of persons have resulted to killing others which are not in any way part of what they agitate about.
Some individuals who must have list their lives in the recent killings might not be part of the crisis.any responsive responsible government must muster the courage to call for peace and reconciliation roujd table at all times not to allow crises to grow and form tool for politicians to use.
The governor of the imo state is not any way to be blamed over the agitation which has been on ground even before he tool over power just one year.
Killings burning of properties belonging to either government and individuals are of no use since that cannot bring about peace in the land.
The peace AMBASSADORS hereby proposed to the government to embrace its effort in peace making movement they have embarked upon.
Amb Uju Okoro who spoke extensively on what could be done to enable reasonably peace actualization in the south East and larger Nigeria territorial integrity.
