*Farmers in Idemmili North and South Federal Constituency who have struggled over the years without Government training and support will heave a sign of relief following the entrance of Hon. Emeka Ebo (Nwachinaemelu) The Chairman, Agricon Limited as an aspirant to represent Umu Idemmili in the Federal House of Representatives in Abuja under the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).*
Hon. Emeka Ebo, A successful private sector technocrat with proven result is the Chairman of AGRICON Innovation Limited and the organiser of Agribusiness Conference and Expo, an event which provides platform that improves the exportation potentials of Nigerian farmers and agripreneurs through the provision of linkage opportunities with international markets and improved awareness of modern farming techniques.
Hon. Emeka Ebo through his Agric Conference and Expo specifically targets local farmers, exporters of agricultural commodities, agro-processors, input suppliers, and other agripreneurs along the value chain in the agricultural sector, he provides farmers, women, youths, and other agro-stakeholders a unique opportunity to strike business deals with players in the agro-export community.
As a successful private sector operator, Hon. Ebo has collaborated with State governments, stakeholder organizations such as the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS), Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC), CBN, Nigeria Customs Service, NAFDAC, SON among others to support farmers across Nigeria through his Agricon initiative.
With his entrance to contest for Idemmili North and South Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Emeka Ebo will change the narrative of political under representation which has bedevilled Idemmili federal Constituency.
*Through his Agricultural plan, Idemmili, youths and school leavers will be attracted back to the land through a range of incentives and back-to-the-land programmes. The new
farmers will constitute a corps of young enlightened people who will be receptive to new farming ideas and therefore, serve as agents of change in the rural areas. The strategy is to induce a backward flow of able bodied youths into farming.*
