IBB Library Will Be Converted To Museum Of National Looters Upon Completion, Says Sowore

Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has stated that the library being planned by former military dictator, Gen Ibrahim Babangida (retd.) would be converted into a “museum of national looters.”
Sowore, in a post on his X handle on Friday, criticised those who attended Babangida’s book launch, including former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, stating that their participation reflects the deep-rooted issues behind Nigeria’s struggles.

Babangida, who ruled Nigeria from 1985 to 1993, has long been a controversial figure, with critics blaming his administration for deep-seated corruption and economic mismanagement.
Babangida, who ruled Nigeria with iron hand from 1985 to 1993, has been accused of corruption and political repression, particularly over the annulment of the 1993 presidential elecelection.
According to Sowore, “Babangida and co-conspirators deserve life imprisonment without parole following a thorough treason trial.
“The fact that individuals like Professor Yemi Osinbajo regarded Babangida’s book launch as an opportunity to display wit, comedy, and sarcasm highlights the reasons behind Nigeria’s demise.”
“IBB library will be converted to a museum of National Looters upon completion, mark my word,” Sowore added.
