Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has reminded his predecessor and Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, that he ijaw blood running in his veins.

The governor, while addressing Kalabari traditional rulers who paid him a courtesy visit at the government house, said whoever that has been going about feeding the people wrong information that he is a half ijaw man, should go back to the history books and make proper findings.

Recall that the former governor, Wike, had accused Fubara of burning down the Rivers State House of Assembly complex in an attempt to stop his impeachment. Wike, who spoke briefly about his relationship with the governor, accused him of burning the state house of assembly in an attempt to stop his impeachment.

The former governor stated that the governor should have called him when he saw there were moves to impeach him but instead, he decided to send people to burn down the house of assembly and resorted to ethnicity politics.

The FCT Minister went on to say that 27 out of the 32 Rivers State House of Assembly members are against Fubara, adding that at the appropriate time, he will fight back.

He said, “I decided to keep silent because of my respect for President Tinubu.” Wike further explained that he took the governor to Julius Berger company in order to negotiate road construction for a seamless second term ambition.
